Job Title:         Loan Assistant – Cleburne 

Reports to:      Branch Commercial Lender

Department:    Lending

Date:               November 2024

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Loan Assistant you will be responsible for processing and closing approved loan files using discretion and independent decision making, including but not limited to

  • Communicating with lenders and customers to service new and existing consumer loan requests
  • Coordinating with Loan Operations to process, close, and fund loans in accordance with policies & procedures
  • Collecting CIP documents; running Patriot Act and credit reports
  • Clearing CIP, loan, and insurance exceptions
  • Ensuring collateral interest is accurately perfected
    • Title work
    • UCC lien searches
  • Completing and processing wire transfers for loan funding
  • Completing and processing draws as requested and approved by officer
  • Processing Regulation B notices in accordance federal compliance standards
  • Developing an understanding of Real Estate loan processes
  • Assisting Lender with Real Estate documentation, preparation, and follow up to ensure timely & accurate closings; this includes communicating with Title Companies & Customers as needed

  • Must exhibit a high level of integrity and exercise good judgement.
  • Strong ability to meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Job Title: Real Estate Loan Closer

Reports To: Loan Operations Manager

Department: Loan Administration

Date: October 2024


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Real Estate Loan Closer, you will be responsible for processing and closing approved real

estate loan files using discretion and independent decision making, including but not limited to:

  • Ordering loan documentation; ordering title search, title commitment; ordering appraisal and flood certificate from specified vendors to document files;
  • Communicating with lenders, title company and/or customers, if necessary to complete processing of file to closing; responding to telephone calls and emails regarding loan status;
  • Collecting and organizing credit and collateral file documents; reviewing and analyzing file documentation to identify potential issues; addressing and resolving issues with lenders or title company to ensure the perfection of our lien position; coordinating loan closing;
  • Preparing closing instructions and other related closing documents; and offering updates and guidance to lenders through phone and email.
  • Funding and booking of loans to platform.
  • The candidate will review loan files for accuracy and complete documentation in accordance with current internal policy and State/Federal law governing real estate lending.
  • Process real estate renewals as required
  • Index/Review Synergy batches after new and/or renewed loans are uploaded
  • Complete other duties as assigned by management

Teller

  • Accurate paying and receiving of customers’ funds
  • Maintain cash drawer within policy limits
  • Adhere to security and operational policies
    • Bank Security
    • BSA
  • Assist with balancing the vault and ATM as needed
    • GPOD branch capture daily run

Customer service

  • Assist with general customer service issues as needed
    • Debit card maintenance –
    • Limit Changes
    • Out of the Country changes
    • Re-orders, hot cards, etc
  • Complete and process wire transfers
  • Online banking inquiries and troubleshooting
  • Balance inquires
  • Telephone transfers
  • Stop payments

Skills

  • Requires good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must exhibit a high level of integrity and exercise good judgement.
  • Time management, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work with other lines of businesses within the bank.
  • Mental concentration is required to perform concurrent tasks and meet deadlines while tolerating frequent interruptions.

Hours – 3-4 opening shifts and late shifts per week.  Opening shift arrives by 7:45 AM; Closing shift leaves after bank closes at 5PM Monday – Friday.
